Growing up I was never a big cat fan, dogs where my pet of choice. But as I have gotten older I have grown into a cat man. A little over 11 years ago now I remarried, to a wonderful lady (Jeanette) she has brought so much joy into my life. Well after only a few weeks of marriage, my new mother-in-law called to inform us that she had “our new cat”, well kitten really. A small fur ball we ended up calling visa, because she was “everywhere we wanted to be”. Now being the great animal trainer that I am (insert laughter here) I told my new bride that this was her cat and for this cat to “bond” with her she would have to feed it, water it, and most of all… change the dreaded “cat box” (words that can strike fear in any man) . Now for reasons we do not know this cat had decided that I was her new best friend and my wife was just the lady that feeds and cleans up after her. Now after 11 years, I can not sit down without this (now quite large) cat wanting to sit in my lap so I can totally focus on her, nothing else will do. She has gone so far as to moving into the direction I am looking and then moving if I change the direction I am looking in. She demands attention and she always gets it.
We added another cat “buddy” so she would have a buddy to play with, but mostly she just picks on him and he on her. Funny thing though, Buddy is totally my wife’s cat, he just loves her. She has even taught him many tricks, roll over, sit, stand up, beg, dance, and high five. Now he works mostly for food, but I think he also does it because he know she wants him to.
So now you know why so many of my graphic designs have cats in them, I have become a cat man.
